Brunch and Friendship Sunday will be held March 18 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 18 S. Third St.

Bring a friend to church and brunch. Every friend and member who brings them will receive a welcome gift, courtesy of Louise Hash and the St. John’s Evangelism Committee.

Also, don’t forget the very special friendship event for all Sunday school students and their friends, held 9 a.m. before the worship.

Commitment to Family & Community, 165 Cherry St., will hold a breakfast 8 a.m.-noon March 18.

Coplay Lions Club will meet 7:15 p.m. March 19 at Coplay Saengerbund, 205 S. Fifth St.

The deadline to apply for seasonal positions in the borough is March 30. Applications can be picked up at borough hall.

Available positions are lifeguards, pool manager and pavilion cleaner. There is also part-time summer help needed in the public works department.

Coplay’s anniversary committee announced that the 150th celebration parade will take place May 18, 2019. If you have any questions, contact borough hall at 610-262-6088.

The theme will have a historical tone. The parade committee asks all individuals, organizations and churches to share their ideas and input.
