EASTERN SALISBURY COLUMN

There will be no school for all Salisbury Township School District students March 9, as schools are closed for a teacher in-service day.

Both Harry S Truman Elementary School and Western Salisbury Elementary School will have 1 p.m. dismissals March 13 through 16 for parent teacher conferences. Spring conference signups are now open on signup genius. For further details, look for an email from HST Principal Zachary P. Brem or view the information sheet which came home with your student.

Salisbury Theatre will perform “Once upon a Mattress” at Salisbury High School 7 p.m. March 15 through 17 and 3 p.m. March 18. For reservations or tickets, contact Cherie Pennella at 610-797-4107, ext. 2508 or email at salisburytheatre@salisburysd.org.

Spring cheerleading workouts will be held March 8 and 15 in the Salisbury High School weight room 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. and March 7, 14 and 28 in the SHS main gym 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Please bring water and wear appropriate attire. The HST spring concert for grades kindergarten through second grade will be held 9:30 a.m. March 22.

March 24 will be the second annual charity basketball game for the Salisbury Youth Association vs. the Salisbury Township Police Department, The game will be held in the SHS gymnasium 4 to 6 p.m. There will also be a basket raffle and 50/50 to benefit the National Night Out event planned for Aug. 7. There is no entry fee; donations are accepted.
