Northampton: VFW to hold karaoke party

Northampton Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4714, 1204 Main St., will host karaoke with Crazy K 10 p.m.-1 a.m. March 9 and 23.

There will be a polka night, featuring button box music, 7-10:30 p.m. March 16.

DJ PK will hold a karaoke night 10 p.m.-1 a.m. March 30.

Grace United Church of Christ, 902 Lincoln Ave., will hold Lenten crab cake dinners 5-7 p.m. March 9 and 16. The meal also includes a baked potato, coleslaw, roll and butter, dessert and a beverage.

Chicken finger dinners will also be available for adults and children. Takeouts are available.

Tickets can be purchased at the door.

Reminder: Northampton Area Historical Society will hold a special program on “Old Northampton” 10 a.m. March 10 at borough hall, 1401 Laubach Ave.

Larry Oberly will share photos of the early business community.

St. John’s Friendly Fifties will meet 1 p.m. March 12 in the church’s social hall, 1343 Newport Ave. Singer Glenn Kakowski will entertain.

If Northampton schools have an early dismissal, late start or a cancellation, there will be no meeting.

Northampton AARP Chapter 3915 will meet March 14 at Northampton Banquet & Event Center, 1601 Laubach Ave.

Doors open 11 a.m. Entertainment will be provided. Those planning to attend are asked to bring a baked good.

In case of bad weather and schools are closed, the meeting will be canceled.

Northampton Exchange Club will hold a spring craft and vendor fair 10 a.m.-3 p.m. March 18 at Northampton Banquet & Event Center, 1601 Laubach Ave.

The event will include more than 70 crafters and direct sales vendors. A tricky tray raffle will also be held.

Lehigh Valley Phantoms will have merchandise giveaways.

Admission and parking are free.

Food and beverages will be available for purchase.
