Cetronia, Woodlawn, Greenawalds, Western Salisbury and Alburtis fire departments, along with Cetronia Ambulance Corps personnel responded Feb. 6 for a house fire at 3250 Hamilton Blvd, South Whitehall Township.
A resident of the home called 911 around 8 p.m. to report a fire had started in the outside of the house after he had used a large propane heater to melt ice from a sidewalk.
The fire was traveling up the exterior of an entrance way, and beginning to enter the enclosed entrance at the rear of the home.
The resident extinguished most of the fire before firefighters arrived. A rear enclosed entrance sustained minor fire damage.
All units were cleared from the scene by 9 p.m.
According to Lehigh County assessment records, the home is owned by Theadora Tantaros, et al.
