Cementon/Egypt: Dutch breakfast is planned

Whitehall Mennonite Church, 4138 Wilson St., will hold a Dutch breakfast 8:30-11 a.m. March 10. The event is free, but donations are gratefully accepted.

Boy Scout Troop 59 will be holding an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner fundraiser 4-7 p.m. March 10 at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 4331 Main St., Egypt, across from Eberhardt Motors.

Homemade baked goods will also be for sale. Children under the age of 5 eat for free.

The building is handicapped accessible.

Proceeds benefit the troop’s general and equipment funds.

Laurel Fire Company, 5114 Third St., Cementon, invites area residents to attend an Easter Bunny breakfast 9 a.m.-noon March 24.

On the all-you-can-eat menu are waffles, eggs, sausage, bacon and toast. The Easter Bunny will be available for photo opportunities during the event.

Children under 12 eat for free.

Egypt Memorial Park’s annual cleanup day will begin 8 a.m. March 24. Visit this organization on Facebook or on its website, egyptpark.org.

The Egypt Memorial Park Easter egg hunt will be held 1 p.m. March 31. Registration will begin noon. The event is open to all current park members. If not a park member, residents may register that day.

Mark your calendar for Egypt Memorial Park’s annual Curt Simmons Day festival June 2.

The day will begin with a parade down Main Street starting noon, followed by live music, food, games and rides for the entire family at the park.
