Althea H. (Hunsicker) Handwerk, of Cedarbrook, died March 1, 2018. She celebrated her 102nd birthday last October with family and friends at Cedarbrook. She was the wife of the late David Handwerk.
Born in Lehighton, she was a daughter of the late James and Cora (Kuhns) Hunsicker.
She was employed at Wolf’s Orchard and Lehrman’s Patio Shop.
She was a life member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, Whitehall, where she volunteered for their social ministry.
She was a charter member of the Whitehall Woman’s Club and volunteered for Meals on Wheels and at the election polls.
She is survived by a daughter, Diane S. Handwerk of Zionsville; a son, Dixon D. and his wife Gemma of Chester, Va.; two grandchildren, Jaime Handwerk-Burlock and her husband Keith and their children Emily and Sydney and Dixon’s son Joel.
She was predeceased by two sisters, Arlene and Margie; and two brothers, LeRoy and Clarence.
Contributions may be made to the church memorial fund or flowers.
