Jerome “Jerry” M. Dancheck, 77, of Whitehall, died Feb. 24, 2018, at Lehigh Valley Hospice. He was the husband of Janet K. (Price) Dancheck for 52 years.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was a son of the late Michael and Josephine (Kozelsky) Dancheck.

He was in the U.S. Air Force.

He was a 1957 graduate of GAR Memorial High School. He earned a degree in 1974 from Lafayette College.

He was a mechanical engineer for Air Products and Chemicals until he retired in 2000.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Michelle and her husband Jon Piatkiewicz of Fogelsville; a son, Mark and his wife Kim of Indiana; four grandchildren, Zachary, Rachel, Jeremy and Jenna; and a sister, Patricia Williams of Virginia.

There will be a calling time 11-11:45 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian burial starting noon, both March 1 at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 4 S. Fifth St., Coplay.
