Glen S. Scheirer, 88, of Whitehall, died Feb. 16, 2018, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Barbara (Pagotto) Scheirer for 27 years and of both the late Lorraine M. (Bendekovitz) Scheirer and the late Barbara A. (Schafer) Sheirer.

Born in Egypt, he was a son of the late William and Susanna (Schultz) Scheirer.

He was an electrician for IBEW Local 375 for many years until he retired in 1991. He was an assistant chief for Whitehall Township Fire Department and chief for the Egypt fire station for 50 years.

He was a life member of Egypt Memorial Park. He was a member of Greenleaf Lodge No. 561; F&AM; Lehigh Consistory, Allentown; and the Rajah Temple, Reading.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Glen E. of Alexandria, Va., Brad L. and his fiancee Carla Stroh of Whitehall and William and his companion Stacy Callmann of Schnecksville; a daughter, Glendra and her husband Terry Engen of Rainier, Ore.; three stepsons, Wallace and his wife Marjorie Minnich of Mickleton, N.J., Brian and his wife Sharon Minnich of Palmerton and Jeffrey Minnich of North Catasauqua; 16 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
