Eugene K. Ressler, 91, of Walnutport, died Feb. 18, 2018, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Gnaden Huetten campus. He was the husband of Dorothy A. (Forensky) Ressler for 62 years.

Born in Catasauqua, he was the son of the late Daniel and Marie (Stanko) Ressler.

He was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Walnutport.

He was a plant manager at the former Zipper Weaving Corporation for many years before retiring.

He was an Army veteran serving in the 87th Infantry division in World War II.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Brig. Gen. Eugene and his wife Friederika of New York, N.Y., and Brig. Gen. Stephen and his wife Claire of Bethlehem; a daughter, Dianne and her husband Richard Granata of Coral Springs, Fla.; a sister, Dolores and her husband Ted Walter of Woodstock, Ga.; three grandchildren, Daniel, Julia and Anne; and six great-grandchildren.

There will be a viewing 10-11 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian burial 11 a.m., both Feb. 23 at the church, 1152 Oak Road, Walnutport.

Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
