Coplay Public Library: Place your hoagie order now

Stop by the library and order some delicious hoagies and sandwiches, courtesy of American Club of Coplay.

For $4 each, you can have your choice of a meat or tuna hoagie on a nine-inch roll or a ham and cheese or tuna sandwich on a Kaiser roll.

Orders must be placed at the library by March 17, and they will be available for pick up at the library 4 p.m. March 21.

Don’t forget our ongoing adult winter reading program, “Readers in the Rue Morgue.”

You still have plenty of time to sign up. The program ends March 15, and we will have a time for the March 29 wrap-up party soon.

Storytime and crafts with Miss Cadie will be 11 a.m. Feb. 22, while Miss Veronica will return March 1 and 8.

All ages are welcome to attend. If you have any questions, contact the library at 610-262-7351.

Join us for game night 5-7 p.m. Feb. 26. Our Scrabble experts are looking for someone to help them out of the winter blahs.

If you want to try any other games, just let us know.

The 50/50 raffle is still going through March 1. For the small price of 50 cents per ticket, you could be the big winner.

The drawing will be held noon March 1, and you do not need to be present to win.

Join us for Free Movie Saturday March 17. Our 1 p.m. feature will be the Disney cartoon “Cinderella,” followed by “Cinderella” starring Lily James, Richard Madden and Cate Blanchett starting 2:30 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend.

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with us March 17. Stop by the library wearing green, and you will receive a special treat.

Need help with estate planning, wills or power of attorney? We will be having a free clinic at the library 1 p.m. March 20. Stop by with your questions.

Mark your calendars for our spring book/bake sale, to be held 11 a.m.-4 p.m. April 6 and 7. The preview night will be 4-7 p.m. April 5 with an entrance fee of $5 per person.

We are still accepting donations for the sale, but we can no longer accept VHS tapes, textbooks, encyclopedias, Reader’s Digest condensed books or any materials that are torn, dirty or damaged by mildew or smoke.

Remember that all donations are tax-deductible and you can drop them off during open hours: 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

While we will make every effort to be open during the winter months, your safety and ours is our primary concern. You can check to see if we are open by keeping an eye on the WFMZ Storm Center. We do not charge fines for any days we are closed for weather.
