Dr. John Philip Peterman, 80, died Feb. 10, 2018, at his home in North Carolina. Born in Pittsburgh, he was a son of the late Charles and Mary Peterman. He was the husband of Louanne Peterman for 55 years.
He was a family dentist for 42 years in Catasauqua.
He was on the board of directors of the Catasauqua Public Library and of the Suburban North Family YMCA.
He was a member of St. James the Greater Catholic Church, Concord, N.C.
He is survived by a son and a daughter-in-law, Jaye Peterman and Jennifer Reese; a daughter and son-in-law, Dr. Amy Peterman and Kevin Hancock; two grandchildren, Tori and Michael Hancock; a sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Hank Campbell; nieces; and nephews.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Father Charles O. Peterman and Denis A. Peterman.
