The Allentown Music Club is sponsoring the 2018 Dr. Albert Hofammann Scholarship for Young Pianists. Piano students who attend a school in Lehigh or Northampton County, and are enrolled in grades nine through 12, are eligible. Applications for the $1,000 prize competition must be received by Feb. 26.

Auditions are from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on March 3 at Asbury U.M. Church, 1533 Springhouse Road, Allentown. The winner is required to play for the club’s 3 p.m. April 7 meeting at Hope U.C.C.
