Students in Spanish three and four are celebrating Valentine’s Day with secret valentines.
Every day, students brought in secret gifts, such as a piece of gum or a nickel, for their valentine. Then today, Feb. 14, students will bring a gift, such as a candy bar, to class where students will participate in a Valentine’s Day-themed activity.
Student Government Association and Key Club members are collecting LEGO® bricks to donate to the Lehigh Valley’s Children’s Center.
The bricks will be used for a community STEM project. The Salisbury High School homeroom collecting the most LEGO® bricks, building the biggest structure or building the most creative structure will win a sweet treat. All bricks are due Feb. 28.
The yearbook staff is holding a Mario Kart Wii tournament. Students will be able to test their Mario Kart abilities against other students in the school by trying to score the best time in a race. The top 30 students will move on to the tournament. The final tournament will then be shown in the gym to students who wish to attend to watch at an undetermined date.
Today is the last day to choose courses for the 2018-2019 school year. This year there are new course offerings including beginner guitar and the addition of concert band as an elective. To schedule classes, visit the Sapphire Community portal. The registration window closes 11:59 p.m.
