Donald William Reed, 83, of Northampton, died Jan. 31, 2018, at Lehigh Valley Hospice. He was the husband of Mary Ann Reed for 57 years.

He was a son of the late Gladys and Elmer Reed of Philipsburg.

He was a merchant marine on the Great Lakes before serving in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany.

He was a truck driver for Consolidated Freightways. After retiring from that position, he was a courier for PNC Bank.

He attended Calvary Wesleyan Church, Bethlehem.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Don W. and his wife Lisa of New Jersey; a daughter, Diane and her husband, Douglas Margraf of New Mexico; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a sister, Lois Keller.
