Wilmer R. Weaver, 88, of Nazareth, died Jan. 19, 2018, at his Westminster Village residence, Allentown. He was the husband of the late Betty (Ginter) Weaver.
He was a son of the late Hiram Weaver and the late Marie (Dixon) Weaver.
He was in the U.S. Army from 1951 through 1953 during the Korean War. He earned the rank of sergeant and was awarded a Bronze Star for meritorious service.
After working 30 years, he retired in 1994 as the corporate secretary and controller of Lehigh Fluid Power, Lambertville, N.J.
He attended St. John’s United Church of Christ, Nazareth, where he was for many years, the church treasurer, along with other duties.
He was a member of the American Legion.
He is survived by two daughters, Kimberly A. and her husband Herschel Schreck of Salisbury Township and Karen M. and her husband Mark Schwiker of Sugarloaf; a brother, Lloyd and his wife Loretta Weaver of Meyerstown; a sister, Doris and her husband Robert Lambert of Saylorsburg; three granddaughters, Beth and her husband Jim, Katie and Kelly; and a great-granddaughter, Bayley.
He was predeceased by a sister, Margaret.
There will be a calling hour 10-11 a.m., followed by a funeral service 11 a.m., Feb. 3 at the church, 183 S. Broad St., Nazareth.
