Hilda T. Polzer, 87, of Coplay, died Jan. 21, 2018, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg. She was the wife of the late Joseph J. Polzer Jr.

Born in Fogelsville, she was a daughter of the late George and Theresa (Wunderly) Gessitz.

She was a sewing machine operator for the former Cross Country Clothing and Tama Manufacturing, both in Northampton, for many years before retiring.

She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Stiles, where she was a member of the Altar & Rosary Society, the choir and the pierogi committee.

She was a member of the Coplay and Whitehall senior citizens clubs.

She is survived by a daughter, Susan C. and her husband Joseph G. Gaston of Coplay; four sons, Joseph G. and his wife Michele of Coopersburg, Michael J. and his wife Cynthia of Whitehall, Jeffrey R. and his husband Edward of Seattle, Wash., and Robert J. and his wife Karen of Kalamazoo, Mich.; a brother, William and his wife Jeannie Gessitz of Seattle, Wash.; a sister, Ceil Kostick of Allentown; eight grandchildren, Anthony, Christopher, Carlos, Heather, Lisa, Ryan, Nicole and Jamie Lynn; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by two brothers, George and Charlie; and four sisters, Pauline, Theresa, Mary and Johanna.
