Madeline Grace Meixner, 92, of Catasauqua, formerly of Moore Township, died Jan. 14, 2018. She was the wife of Carl Meixner.

Born in Weaversville, she left home to work in the defense plants in Detroit and Cleveland. After the war, she went on to own and operate the Klecknersville Hotel.

She is survived by two daughters, Joan and Jean; a granddaughter, Melissa; a grandson, Jon; a great-grandson, Cole; a great-granddaughter, Lily; a brother Ralph and his wife Mary; nieces; and nephews.

She has willed her body to science. A celebration of her life and art will follow on a spring day to be announced later.
