Ethel Simmons, 87, of Bethlehem, died Jan. 15, 2018. Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late Emery and Mary (Balogh) Boysza. She was the wife of the late Joseph T. Simmons Sr.

She was a Liberty High School graduate.

She was a receptionist for the Visiting Nurse Association until she took retirement.

She was a member of: Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

She was a member of the Independent Citizens Club and the Roosevelt Democratic Association, Bethlehem Township.

She is survived by three sons, Joseph Jr. and his wife Mimi, Michael and David; two daughters, Patricia Froehlich and her husband David and Mary Koehler; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a sister, Dorothy Reith.
