This year’s blood drive is Jan. 30. Faculty and students who are 16 years of age or older are eligible to participate. All blood donations will be coordinated by the Miller Keystone Blood Center. Registration will occur during that week.

Support the junior class by buying a Dan Schantz Flower Card. Once a month, community members who buy the card will be able to visit Dan Schantz to collect their monthly item. Items include flowers and gourds depending on the month. There is a cost for the cards so talk to a member of the junior class for information or to purchase a card.

This past week was the high school’s spirit week. Students dressed in different clothing each day to show their school spirit. Some of the themes included pajama day, USA day and Blue and White day. Students will also be able to show off their school spirit at an upcoming pep rally.

At the pep rally, students will be able to pie a teacher in the face. The Environmental Club will hold a “Pie Your Teacher” contest. Students can pay $5 to throw a pie at one of 11 teachers faces and $10 to throw a pie into the face of Assistant Principal Brian A. Muschlitz or Salisbury Police School Resource Officer Richard Nothstein. The proceeds will benefit the Environmental Club projects such as the recently added path in the courtyard, which will allow students to take a walk outside between classes.

Finally, students are looking forward to a half day Jan. 26.
