Robert J. Wirth, 72, of Allentown, died suddenly on Jan. 3, 2018, in Lehigh Valley Hospital. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Myrtle Wirth.

He was a Dieruff H. S. graduate.

He worked for Allentown State Hospital for 40 years before he retired. He then worked and volunteered at both the Allentown and Bethlehem Salvation Army facilities.

He helped, for many years, with bingo which benefited the Eastside Youth Center.

He is survived by a son, Robert Gorman and his partner Albert Miller of Allentown; three daughters, Debbie Kemmerer, Lois Kull and Jo Kleckner, all of Allentown; a sister, Bonita; and four grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a brother, Ronald.
