Family members: Mother (Kerrie), father (Joe), older brother (Kyle), older sisters (Jessica and Kiersten)

Favorite subject: Music theory. I love the analytical side to music and gaining a deeper understanding of how and why musical happenings sound the way they do.

Activities: Orchestra, jazz ensemble, advanced jazz combo, treble choir, touring choir, Instrumental Club (vice president), Tri-M Music Honors Society (president)

Next steps: I plan to attend a conservatory to study viola performance.

Career goals: I hope to one day be part of a professional orchestra such as the Philadelphia Orchestra, New York Philharmonic or Boston Symphony. I also would love to start my own string quartet and tour!

Heroes: My number one hero is George Harrison because he never let fame and fortune get in the way of his heart and his search for happiness and truth.

Hobbies: Drawing, photography, and adventuring in nature

Current job(s): Freelance musician

Volunteer/community work: I have performed at many benefit concerts and fundraising events in the Lehigh Valley, both solo and with my peers.

Likes: Baby’s breath, avocados, sunrises and sunsets, and birds

Dislikes: Ignorance and hate

Greatest accomplishment (so far): Making it into the PMEA All-State Orchestra

Advice for peers: Stay small! It is so easy to inflate your hardships and feel like the entire world is crashing down due to your struggles. Try to focus on being light, no matter how dark your days may seem. Every individual ray keeps the sun shining.
