A cash bingo will be held Jan. 14 at Commitment to Family and Community, 165 Cherry St. Doors open 1 p.m., and calling starts 2 p.m.

On Jan. 17, Whitehall Area Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Samuel Owens Restaurant and Bar, 128 Chestnut St., will host a mixer with complimentary appetizers to benefit Coplay Food Pantry. A canned food or donation at the door will be your entry to the event, which runs 5:30-7:30 p.m.

The Coplay 150th anniversary committee will meet 7 p.m. Jan. 18 at borough council chambers, 98 S. Fourth St. All interested residents, businesses and organizations need to attend this meeting or send a representative to be a part of this once-in-a-lifetime event.

A reminder from borough public works supervisor Paul Boyle that garbage cans in excess of 35 gallons will not be collected. The borough also will no longer pick up electronics.

Convalescent equipment, such as wheelchairs, crutches and walkers, are available through Coplay Recreation and Welfare Association. Requests require a 48-hour notice.
