Bernard M. Burda, worked in HVAC

Bernard “Foggy” M. Burda, 88, of Bethlehem, died Dec. 22, 2017. Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late John and Mary (Smith) Burda. He was the husband of Patricia A. (Spudeck) Burda for 39 years.

He was in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He worked in HVAC in the combustion department of the Bethlehem Steel Corporation.

He was a parishioner of Notre Dame of Bethlehem Catholic Church.

He was known for his model trains and had, earlier in life, been a bowler.

He is survived by his stepson, Gary and his wife Debbie Kline of Nazareth; a stepdaughter, Pati and her husband Ron Reed of Bethlehem, with whom he resided; three grandchildren, Lindsay and her husband Keith Johnson of Nazareth, Jennifer and her husband Patrick Busser of Lititz and Michelle Kline of Orlando, Fla.; two great-grandchildren, Hunter and Greyson Johnson; nieces; and nephews.

He was predeceased by a stepson, Joseph Kline; a sister, Frances Omick; and three brothers, Eddie, John and Joe Burda.

Arrangements were made by Connell Funeral Home Inc., Bethlehem.
