FALCON INSIDER

March is Music in Our Schools Month. Students have the opportunity to share their musical talents with their peers during Falcon periods. Also, there is a contest in the music wing where students and staff can guess which Salisbury High School staff member has participated in what musical activity. Questions include, which staff member played the flute in their high school band or who was a singer in several rock bands and a worship band. Whoever can correctly match the most staff members to a musical activity can win a prize.

Students will present this year’s musical “Into the Woods” 7 p.m. March 12, 13 and 14 and 3 p.m. March 15. Come support the SHS Theatre.

The annual dodge ball tournament is taking place 6 p.m. March 16 in the SHS main gym. Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the door. Refreshments will be available at the event.

The Spring Fling dance to support the class of 2021 is being held 7-10 p.m. March 21 in the SHS old gym. Tickets can be purchased during lunches starting March 11 or at the door. Students interested in bringing a guest to the dance must bring the required forms to Mrs. Basile’s room no later than March 18.

The SHS National Honor Society has organized a blood drive to support the Miller-Keystone Blood Center. The blood drive is being held noon-7 p.m. March 31. SHS students and staff can donate at any time. However, community members can only donate after 2:40 p.m. To schedule an appointment, visit www.GIVEaPINT.org and use the sponsor code 0490. National Honor Society members will provide child care throughout the blood drive.

The SHS cafeteria now has a sharing table. This is an opportunity for students to donate unwanted and unopened foods or drinks. Other SHS students can then grab an item left behind during their lunches. All items left over after C lunch will be donated to an organization. This is a great way for the SHS community to reduce food waste.

Finally, students will enjoy a day off March 13.
