Virginia W. Conly, 97, of Bluffton, S.C., formerly of Emmaus, died Dec. 19, 2017, at Ogeechee Area Hospice in Statesboro, Ga. She was the wife of Richard T. Conly Sr. The couple celebrated 20 years of marriage Oct. 23. Her first husband, Charles J. Schenkel, died in 1996. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Gertrude (Tongue) Weierman.

She was a former member of Faith Evangelical Free Church, Trexlertown and was a graduate of Abington High School, Abington.

She is survived by her husband; children, Herbert “Bart” Schenkel, David Schenkel and Sue Rowe; 11 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren.
