Josephine Ann Slonaker, 87, of Whitehall, died Dec. 22, 2017, at Fellowship Manor, Whitehall. She was the wife of the late Francis E. Slonaker Sr.

Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Ferdinand and Vilma (Gergowicz) Kantz.

She was a 1948 graduate of Central Catholic High School.

She was a clerk at Hilbert’s Pharmacy and Gifts until her retirement at the age of 80.

Earlier in life, she worked for GE and Black and Decker, Allentown.

She is survived by three sons, Francis Jr. and his wife Barbara of Schnecksville, Thomas and his companion Noreen Schneck of Whitehall and Michael and wife his Melinda of Whitehall; a daughter, Susan and her husband Paul Stephens of Bethlehem; six grandchildren, Patricia and her husband Jon Walters, Amy and her husband Andrew Rau, Paul Stephens Jr., Krystah-Jo and her husband Matthew Finn, Josef Stephens and his companion Stacey Jaeger and Piper Slonaker; a great-grandson, Colby Rau; a sister, Arlene Joseph; and a brother, Emil Kantz.

She was predeceased by a sister, Margret Schmaldinst; and two brothers, Edwin and Otto.
