Carole A. Sachse, 77, formerly of York, died Dec. 17, 2017, at Fellowship Manor, Whitehall. She was the wife of the late Matthew J. Sachse.

Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was a daughter of the late Theodore T. and Helen (Linkus) Asher.

She was a manager for the IRS in Washington, D.C., for 25 years before she retired in 2001.

She is survived by two sons, Matthew J. of Bethlehem and David B. and his wife Diane of Hagerstown, Md.; and two siblings, Theodore T. and his wife Karen Asher of Lilburn, Ga., and Alice and her husband Barry Lichtenstein of Brentwood, N.Y.
