With the holidays fast approaching, students are preparing for the final days of school before winter break.
The blood drive, which was postponed due to the two-hour delay Dec. 14, is tentatively moved to Dec. 21. Anyone who is 16 or older with parental permission may have the opportunity to donate.
Both Salisbury High School Student Government Association and Key Club are collecting items in the spirit of giving.
The donation requests include paper products, canned goods, toiletries and more. For more information, visit the SHS website salisburysd.org, click on the high school link and visit the “news” section.
All items should be taken to the main office or guidance office. Donations will be given to the Allentown Rescue Mission, Sixth Street Shelter, Daybreak and Jen’s House.
Both boys and girls basketball have been practicing hard this season. Come support the girls basketball junior varsity/varsity game 4 p.m. or 5:15 p.m. Dec. 22 at the high school.
Don’t have time to come to the high school? The games can also be viewed on RCN, channel 68.
As of Dec. 15, the varsity boys basketball team is 1-2, while the girls basketball team is 3-0. Great job, Falcons.
Finally, winter break starts Dec. 22 with a half-day of school. Students will have about a week off before returning to school Jan. 2, 2018.
Happy holidays, Salisbury!
