Whitehall library: Merry Christmas from the library

The Whitehall Township Public Library board and staff would like to wish all of our library patrons a blessed and merry Christmas season. The library will have special hours during the Christmas season.

We will be closed Christmas Eve (observed) Dec. 23 and Christmas Day Dec. 25. We have regular hours Dec. 26, 27, 28 and 29. We close 1 p.m. on New Year’s Eve (observed) Dec. 30 and are closed New Year’s Day Jan. 1, 2018.

The outside drop box is open all the time, so items may be returned in the yellow boxes. Please come in to get your movies and books before Dec. 23.

Anyone 18 years old and older is welcome to join us every fourth Tuesday of the month for our adult coloring group. It meets 11 a.m. Dec. 26. The library has some supplies but invites you to bring your own as well.

Our What Are You Reading Now? book club will meet 1 p.m. Dec. 26 and Jan. 23, 2018. The club meets on the fourth Tuesday of every month.

Patrons are invited to chat about whatever books they are reading at the moment - the ones you loved, the ones you hated and everything in between.

We will have the Simply Play program 1-2 p.m. Dec. 27, and it is open to all ages. Children will learn to build and create things with blocks and Legos.

***

The beading club will meet 1:30 p.m. every Monday and Wednesday. It is open to all teens and adults who want to learn about beaded jewelry.

Marty Beaton is donating supplies, so visitors and new members can try it out free of charge. You don’t need to commit to every club meeting; just come as you will.

Patrons 18 years and older may register for the adult winter reading program between Jan. 15 and March 15, 2018. The theme this year is “Book Your Winter Getaway.”
