Robert E. Reimert, 62, of Whitehall, died Dec. 12, 2017, at Cedarbook Nursing Home.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Earl Reimert and the late Catherine F. (Scheffler) Hetherington.

He participated in many Special Olympic events, but bowling was his favorite sport. He was a member of the Saturday night bowling league at Jordan Lanes.

He is survived by seven sisters, Penelope Diehl, Geraldine and her husband Lorenz Reichard, Barbara and her husband William Oram, Charlotte and her husband Kenneth Sell, Shirley Lotti, Carol and her husband Richard Wilson and Gail Seyfried; nieces; nephews; great-nieces; great-nephews; great-great-nieces; and great-great-nephews.

He was predeceased by his stepfather, Raymond H. Hetherington.
