Paul F. Dietz, 88, of Northampton, died Dec. 14, 2017, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Allentown. He was the husband of the late Irene H. (Zvikovits) Dietz.
Born in W. Rockhill Township, he was a son of the late William H. Dietz and Estella (Frank) Dietz.
He was in the U.S. Navy from 1947 to 1951.
He was a general manager and bookkeeper for the former Town & Country Fuel Oil Service, Whitehall, for 40 years until he retired in 1992.
He was a member of Queenship of Mary Roman Catholic Church where he was an usher, a committee member, a treasurer for Cub Scout Pack 99 from 1963 to 1988 and a 50-year member of the bingo committee.
He was a member of American Legion Post 353, Northampton.
He is survived by three sons, Dennis R. and his wife Nancy of Chandler, Ariz., Paul “Willie” W. and his wife Marian of Slatington and Michael R. and his wife Sharon of Schnecksville; two daughters, Susan A. and her husband Ted Lindenmoyer of Northampton and Denise Edmonds of Bethlehem; a brother, Raymond and his wife Donna Dietz of Quakertown; two sisters, Mildred Wolfe of Quakertown and Catherine Sloyer of Pennsburg; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a son-in-law, Frank Wagner Jr.; a grandson, George Riddle; four brothers; and four sisters.
