Neil A. Pastre

Neil A. Pastre, 88, of Whitehall and a recent guest of Devon House, Allentown, died Dec. 13, 2017, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of the late Margaret “Peg” M. (Cunningham) Pastre for 56 years.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Gio Batta and Rose (Candia) Pastre.

He was a graduate of Allentown High School and Muhlenberg College.

He was a sergeant in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany during the Korean conflict.

He was a programmer and analyst with the Bethlehem Steel Corporation from which he retired in 1983.

He was a life member of Grouse Hall.

He is survived by a daughter, Mary Beth and her husband David Arner of Macungie; a son, Neil and his wife Marilyn of Langhorne; four grandchildren, Marissa Pastre, Tim Arner, Jeremy Arner and his wife Alia Orbin and Jocelyn and her husband Gregory Snyder; and four great-grandchildren.
