Michael W. Dorosh, 92, of Whitehall, died Dec. 12, 2017, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. He was the husband of Olga Kowalyshyn Dorosh for 65 years.
Born in Scranton, he was a son of the late Michael W. Dorosh and the late Helen Chaus Dorosh.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Lehigh University.
He was a sergeant in the U.S. Air Force from 1943 to 1946 and was a World War II veteran.
He was an U.S. Postal Service letter carrier for 15 years and was promoted to postal inspector in charge for 20 years until he retired in 1982.
He was a member of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Orthodox Church where he was a past president and was instrumental in overseeing renovation projects over the years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a niece, Dr. Barbara and her husband Dr. Charles Cantalupo of Bethlehem; four great-nieces and great-nephews, Elizabeth, Christopher, Alicia and Alexandra; a great-great-niece, Silvia; a great-great-nephew, Lucas; and six nephews, John Jr., Eugene, Michael, Richard and George Dorosh and Brian Lingard.
