Richard H. Deibert, 89, of Walnutport, died Dec. 9, 2017, at Lehigh Valley Hospital- Muhlenberg, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Joyce J. (Christman) Deibert for 70 years.

Born in Walnutport, he was a son of the late Alma Deibert Hoffman.

He was a private first class in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He was last a forklift operator at the former Bethlehem Steel Corporation until he retired in 1990. He worked there for 40 years.

He was a member and former ride captain for the Zinc City Motorcycle Club, Carbon County; a former member of Blue Ridge Rod & Gun Club; and of the Brothers of the Brush, Slatington.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Larry A. and his wife Kathleen and Michael L. and his wife Cynthia, all of Slatington; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Linda Louise Deibert; and a sister, Dorothy Bush.
