MaryJane C. Hittner, 84, of Palmerton, died Dec. 6, 2017, at Lehigh Valley Hospice, Allentown. She was the wife of the late Luther C. Hittner.
Born in Egypt, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Edna (DeLong) Bernhard.
She was a waitress for the former Wotring’s Banquet Hall, Schnecksville. She was earlier a bookkeeper for Capital Bakers.
She was a member of St. John’s Towamensing Evangelical Lutheran Church, Palmerton.
She was a member of Neffs Volunteer Fire Company Auxiliary, a former Girl Scout leader and a member of the Kibler One Room Schoolhouse Association.
She is survived by four daughters, Marie and her husband Larry Hahn of Palmerton, Linda and her husband Arthur Fenstermaker Jr. of Florida, Nancy and her husband Robert Thompson of Lehighton and Ruthann and her husband Greg Fleming of Arizona; a son, Luke and his wife Suzanne of Northampton; eight grandchildren, Melissa, Kristin, Bryon, Robbie, Ashley, Sean, Erin and Shane; three great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Alexander and Trinity; a brother-in-law, Carl and his wife Jane Hittner of Allentown; nieces; and nephews.
She was predeceased by two sisters; and a grandson, Corey.
