Barbara A. Rex, 76, of Emmaus, died Nov. 25, 2017. She was the wife of the late Howard T. Rex, Jr. Born in Catasauqua, she was a daughter of the late Robert L. and Gertrude V. (Barley) Dougherty.

She worked as a homemaker for L.C. Homemaker Health Aide Service.

She was a member of St. John’s U.C.C., Emmaus. She was a former member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Allentown. She was also a former member of Mary Livingston Chapter #167 Order of the Eastern Star, where she received her Gold Pin for 25 years of membership.

She is survived by a sister, Kathy M. and her husband Michael Scarpino, of Allentown; brother, Donald R. Dougherty, of Emmaus. She was predeceased by a sister, Dolores M. Dougherty and sister-in-law, Susan J. Buckalew.

Arrangements were made by the Stephens Funeral Home, Inc., Allentown.
