Northwestern Lehigh High School is continuing the tradition of trying to make Christmas a little more special for families of high school students in the district.
Donations will assist with the purchase of gifts, food and other items to make the holidays memorable.
High school counselors have identified at least 60 families who could use help this holiday season.
To help, purchase a gift card, such as Giant, Weis, Walmart, Kohl’s or Target to be donated to these families.
Shop local, too, such as: Katie’s, Bagel Bunch, Blose’s Market, Snyder’s Second Chances and more.
The card can be for any amount. Average amount is $20 per card.
Gift cards will be collected and given to the counseling office for distribution, allowing parents to shop for their own families.
The families will remain anonymous. Only school counselors will have contact with them.
Gift cards need to be dropped off on or before Dec. 11 to the high school attendance office or to Danielle Mikruk in the counseling office.
