Mary E. Kutalek, 92, of Whitehall, died Nov. 16, 2017, at home. She was the wife of the late Samuel Kutalek.

Born in Lansford, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary (Dollack) Vargo.

She worked in Northampton High School cafeteria for many years.

She was a member of Holy Trinity Slovak Lutheran Church.

She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church’s ladies aid society.

She is survived by a daughter, Karen Miller; two grandchildren, Kyle Miller and Wendy Updegrave; and a great-grandson, Matthew Kuchta.

She was predeceased by two brothers, Edward and John Vargo; and two sisters, Ann and Elizabeth Vargo.
