Catasauqua: Holiday craft show is set for Dec. 2

The ladies of Catasauqua American Legion, 330 Second St., will be sponsoring a holiday vendor/craft show and Chinese auction 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Dec. 2, and the public is invited. Some of the vendors include Pampered Chef, Kim’s Glass Creations, Tupperware, Mary Kay, 31, Scentsy, Lula Roe, Origami Owl, Paparazzi Jewelry, craft vendors and more.

The kitchen will be open.

The George Taylor House, Lehigh and Poplar streets, is having a community tree lighting and old-fashioned Christmas 4-7 p.m. Dec. 3. There will be children’s crafts 4 p.m. at Revolution Church, Race and Lehigh streets, and Santa and Mrs. Claus arrive 5:30 p.m.

There will be carolers and the lighting of the community tree. There will be free coffee, hot chocolate and cookies, as well as samples of hot, mulled wine. Kids can make their own s’mores courtesy of Historical Catasauqua Preservation Association. Hot dogs, chili and beverages will be sold.

The house will feature decorated trees in all the rooms and costumed guides to share the traditions of an 18th-century Christmas as you tour the house.

The gift shop will also be open. There will be a book signing by Rebecca Price Janney, author of the Easton series of books in the gift shop.

The Kichline Flying Camp Associators will share camp life during the Revolutionary War.
