Anthony G. Rapp Jr.

Anthony G. Rapp Jr., 72, of Macungie, and formerly of Fountain Hill, died Nov. 23, 2017, at St. Luke’s University Hospital. He was the husband of the late Janice M. (Lipsky) Rapp for 31 years, who died Sept. 20, 1997 and Patricia (Heidecker) Rapp for 14 years. Born in Fountain Hill, he was the son of the late Anthony and Elizabeth (Mahl) Rapp.

He honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.

He was a member of St. Ursula Catholic Church.

He coached and was a board member for Fountain Hill Little League.

He was a longtime district judge for Fountain Hill and Salisbury Township. He also worked plant patrol for the Bethlehem Steel and as a police officer for the borough of Fountain HIll.

He was an avid golfer and a lifelong Philadelphia sports fan.

He is survived by his wife; sons, Anthony W. and his wife Kelly, of Hilltown, Christopher D. and his wife Leann, of Salisbury Township, Matthew A. and his wife Tanya, of Schnecksville; daughter, Elizabeth H. “Beth” Rapp-Steltz and her husband Ed, of Fountain Hill; stepsons, Michael T. Rau, of Fountain Hill, Kevin R. Rau and his wife Erica; stepdaughter, Susan P. Specht, all of Fountain Hill; sisters, Arlene Renninger, of Fountain Hill, JoAnne Paulik, of Salisbury Township; brother, Lawrence E. and his wife Helen, of Fountain Hill; grandchildren, Andrew, Abby, Janice, Julian, Megan, Lindsey, Jacob; step-grandchildren, Alex, Lauren and Mia Specht, Eric and Brooke Rau.

Arrangements were made by the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, Bethlehem.
