William A. Solderich, 73, of Allentown and formerly of Northampton, died Nov. 15, 2017, at Lehigh Valley Hospital Center, Salisbury Township.

Born in Northampton, he was the son of the late William F. and Justine L. (Haller) Solderich.

He was a Northampton Area Senior High School graduate.

He was a private first class in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

He was a crane operator in the beam yard for 30 years at the former Bethlehem Steel Corporation until he retired in 1994.

He is survived by two sons; Billy of Hellertown and Bradley and his wife Nancy of Greenville; a daughter, Morgan Rapp of Bethlehem; three sisters, Rosalie and her husband William Beidleman of Whitehall, June and her husband Thomas Nestor of Allentown and Sylvia and her husband Peter Seregelyes of Coplay; a half-sister, Maryann Bechtold of Orlando, Fla.; three grandchildren, Aaron, Nicholas and Gianna Solderich; a niece, Julie Krebick of Bensalem; and a nephew, Scott Beidleman of Marina del Rey, Calif.
