Ruth E. Best, 88, of Catasauqua, died Nov. 13, 2017, in her home. She was the wife of the late Robert E. Best.

Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late George and Minnie (Eberhart) Roth.

She was a sewer for many years for the former Phoenix and the former Greif clothing companies before she retired.

She is survived by a son, Jeffrey and his wife Dawn of Walnutport; two sisters, Helen Hauser and Patricia Roth; three grandchildren, Jayden and his wife Ashley, Brandon and Austin; and three great-grandchildren, Dylan, Mason and Emma.

She was predeceased by a sister, Dorothy Schwenk.
