Carl A. Gross Sr., 78, of Palmerton and formerly of Northampton, died Nov. 11, 2017, at Tranquil Living, Palmerton. He was the husband of Victory G. (D’Arconte) Gross for 54 years.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Raymond and Mildred (Heil) Gross.

He was an EMP3 in the U.S. Navy from 1956 until 1958.

He was a laborer for 33 years at Alvin H. Butz Inc. until he retired in 2000.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Carl A. Jr. and his wife Jeanine of Northampton and Michael R. and his wife Jennifer of Emmaus; two brothers, Donald and Kenneth; a sister, Rosalie Behney; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a brother, Robert; and a sister, Eleanor.
