Ethel R. Nester, 85, of Allentown, died peacefully Nov. 10, 2017, at Above & Beyond, Allentown. She was the wife of Raymond H. Nester. They were married for 66 years this past August. Born in Vera Cruz, she was the daughter of the late Harold S. and Mildred B. (Kleckner) Bauman.

She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church Emmaus.

She was a graduate of Emmaus High School, Class of 1949.

She enjoyed bowling for many years in the Alton Park Ladies League, reading, watching movies, tanning in the back yard and Penn State football. She was a loving wife and mother, dedicating her life to raising her children.

She is survived by her husband; sons, Richard and his wife, Pamela and Robert and his wife, Lynn; grandchildren, Haley L. and her husband Bryan McKay, Ryan and Casey and her husband Paul Bazzano; great-grandchildren, Luke McKay, Brielle and Gianna Bazzano; sister, Carol and her husband Dennis Shafnisky.
