Matthew “Matt” Brown, 89, formerly of Northampton, died Nov. 11, 2017, in Whitehall Manor. He was the husband of Betty H. (Kohrs) Brown for 64 years.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Henry and Eleanor (Serfass) Brown.
He was a sergeant in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict with the 160th Tank Command.
He was an industrial insulator with Union 23 until he retired in 1990.
He a member of the Lehigh Township Fire Company and Fullerton Fire Company No. 1 and was a life member of Fullerton American Legion Post 367.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Bernie and his wife Gail of Linden, N.J.; two grandchildren, Melissa and her husband Kyle Grube and Philip and his wife Jenifer; two great-grandchildren, Patrick and Samantha; and a sister, Louise Serfass.
