John F. Knapp, 73, of Zionsville, died Oct. 7, 2017. Born in Abington, he was a son of the late John Christian and Anna Magdalen (Eschner) Knapp.

He was a graduate of Cheltenham High School and Lafayette College where he graduated with a degree in electrical engineering.

He enjoyed hunting and automotive mechanics and had a lifelong love of English Springer Spaniels.

He is survived by children, Jacqueline M., of Harleysville, Patricia A., of Burlington, N.J., and John W. (Tracy), of Sellersville, as well as grandsons, Justin, Michael and Connor; sister, Dorothy Burns (Robert); nieces and a nephew.

A private service and scattering of ashes will be held on a future date.
