Northwestern Lehigh High School and middle school field hockey players have been collecting cereal this season for the Christ’s Church at Lowhill Food Pantry.

Overall, they collected 62 boxes.

“I delivered the cereal yesterday (Oct. 11) and they were grateful for the support,” Costa said. “Cereal is always a need for local families.

“Nancy Holbrook is a volunteer at the food bank and when I reached out to see if there was something we could do as a team, she suggested collecting cereal.

“Typically, they do not have a variety. Our teams and families were more than willing to support and stock the shelves.”

Field hockey coaches include Northwestern Lehigh High School Coach Opolsky and Assistant Coach Ache and Middle School Coach Hammack and Assistant Coach Hartman.
