Maria E. Jacobs, 75, of Macungie, died Oct. 23, 2017, in her home surrounded by her loving family. She met her “best friend” and husband David J. Jacobs, 47 years ago in a restaurant in London, England. They celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary last May. Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, she was a daughter of the late James and Margaret (O’Connor) Kelly.

She was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Allentown.

She was an artist and enjoyed music and dancing. She was fun loving and will be remembered as being comical and witty.

She is survived by her husband; son, Paul D. and his wife Rita of Huntersville, N.C.; daughters, Margaret A. J. Blair, of Alburtis and Georgina M. and her husband Mitchell Turner, of Cedar Hill, Texas; brothers, Frank Kelly, of Yorkshire, England and Brendan Kelly, of England; sisters, Caitlin McGeough, of Australia, Margaret Vernon, of Belfast, Ireland and Geraldine and her husband Don Moaratty, of Boynton Beach, Fla.; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
