Hilda Bendekovits, 89, of Northampton, died Oct. 23, 2017, at Gracedale Nursing Home, Nazareth. She was the wife of the late Joseph L. Bendekovits.

Born in Coplay, she was a daughter of the late Albert Kurtz Sr. and Hattie (Yost) Kurtz.

She was a presser/table worker for the former Fernbrook Sportswear/Regal Sportswear, Northampton, for 30 years until she retired in 1990.

She was a member of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, Northampton, where she was a member of the Young at Heart group for many years.

She is survived by a son, Mark of Northampton; a daughter, Barbara A. and her husband Robert Wagner of Walnutport; a brother, Robert and his wife Ronnie Kurtz of Coplay; two grandchildren, Jennifer Batz and Bryan and his wife Candis Wagner; and two great-grandchildren, Korin and Aiden.

She was predeceased by a brother, Albert Kurtz Jr.
