Elizabeth J. Strouse, 88, of Emmaus, died Oct. 17, 2017, at St. Luke’s Hospice House, Bethlehem. She was the wife of the late Robert H. Strouse, who died March 16, 2017. The couple observed their 69th wedding anniversary before her husband’s death. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late William J. and Martha L. (Fiest) Jacobs.

She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Allentown, where she was a Sunday school teacher for 50 years.

She was a graduate of Allentown High School.

She is survived by daughters, Carol and her husband Burl Hosier and Karen and her husband W. Michael Collier; sons, Douglas and his wife Robin and Mark; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sons, Jeffrey in 2012 and Matthew in 2016.
